Our principles

We have spent over 15 years living and breathing investments.

We were founded in 2009 as an investment research provider. Along the way, we developed significant expertise throughout the ups and downs of market cycles. In 2019, we turned our attention towards managing portfolios for our clients.

These investment portfolios are the product of our enduring investment beliefs.

We are global

We scour a wide breadth of investment opportunities from around the world.

The frontiers of change can be found throughout various industries in many countries around the world. We keep a watchful eye on key movements to inform our world view.

At the same time, investors who focus narrowly on their home market risk missing out on faster-growing regions and sectors elsewhere.

We are diversified

We don't put all our eggs in one basket. In fact, we don't limit ourselves to just eggs.

The logic is simple: markets do not move in unison. When one area struggles, another may hold up or recover faster. A diversified portfolio aims to smooth returns over time by reducing reliance on any one outcome.

Crucially, effective diversification is not about owning "more things", but about owning assets that behave differently in different conditions. Done properly, it helps portfolios become more resilient, particularly during periods of market stress.

We are proactive

We aim to use active when it is likely to add value, and passive when it is not.

A sensible investment philosophy need not be ideological. The debate between active and passive management is often framed as a binary choice. In practice, it is a question of judgement.

Being proactive means allocating deliberately, not by habit. It means using passive tools where they offer efficient, low-cost market access, and active strategies where insight, selectivity and flexibility are likely to be rewarded.

The objective is not to “win” a philosophical argument, but to improve outcomes. Clients benefit when cost discipline and genuine expertise are applied with equal care.

Household names

Some of the best thinking comes from some of the biggest names in the investment management industry. We work to select the best in class funds from across our industry.

Hidden gems

However, we recognise that the best returns do not always come from those who make the most noise. We identify boutique firms who we believe have a potential to outperform the market.
